Weekend Team NewsLast seasons leading run scorer Ben Wicling returns for the firsts this weekend for his first outing of the season in the only change from Saturday. Chris Pleasants will hope the team can bounce back from their loss to leaders Burnmoor as they go in against Marsden. Dave Dent seconds will take to the field with a strong line up as they go in search of their first win in some weeks at Marsden. Jacka's barmy army continue their campaign at home to Whickham on Sunday no doubt looking to curtail the mid order collapse which has cost them dear in recent weeks. Rob Lake has a strong looking line up at his disposal as he aims to get some much needed points on the board for an underperforming Wednesday thirds at home to Boldon. Senior PresentationThe Senior presentation was a tremendous success with a fantastic full house turn out, thanks to everyone for turning up. Rising Durham CC star Kyle Coetzer presented the awards and stayed all night to chat, sign autographs and hopefully enjoy himself. We would like to thank Kyle for attending and presenting the awards and hope he enjoyed the legendary Felling CC hospitality... Firsts Cup Hopes DashedThe firsts crashed to defeat at home in the Metro Cup against Greenside. With early batsmen going for their shots wickets fell at regular intervals as Felling posted a below par 90. Greenside made it look easy as they overhauled the home score with 3 overs in hand, so its farewell to cup action at Felling for another season. Juniors Back on SongBoth the under 11 and 13 teams were on the money this weekend as they comprehensively outplayed Whitburn. With the 11s winning in some style and the 13s completely over running the opposition it was a good weekend for the youngsters. Junior CoachingCoaching sessions for all juniors continue at the club on Friday evenings @ 6pm. Sessions will once again cost £2.00. Coaching will then continue every Friday throughout the season. There may be additional coaching sessions arranged as the season progresses which will be notified to juniors at the Friday sessions. Junior PresentationThe Junior presentation was a big success despite the rugby final being on, full pictures from the night are online now... The prestigious Michael McCarthy Memorial Award went this year to Christopher Goudie who capped a fine season by establishing himself in the first XI at the age of 14.
