Felling Cricket Club
staged the Gateshead
Schools Cricket Development Kwik cricket
festival for local junior schools in July. After
the first day was rained off, 6 schools turned out
for the re-arranged day and despite the weather a
great day was had by all. Schools
taking part were: Colegate, Falla Park, Fell Dyke,
Roman Road and Windy Nook.
As part
of the lead up to the festival Felling CC provided
coaching to the local schools taking part. This
was a real success and we intend to repeat it next
year before the second festival.
Pictured
with the winners shield are the victorious Colgate
school team who won all of their matches to run
out winners on highest run rate. The Colgate team
included no less than five Felling under 11 junior
cricketers. |
